Anchorage Family Photographer | "J" Fall Family Session

Our weather has been SO weird to start this winter off. Instead of our slow slide into winter like we normally get, we went from the longest fall ever, without even a frost in sight, to WINTER. Last week, we were outside and it was 55 degrees, today I woke up to 8 degrees. 8. I’m definitely not complaining about the long fall, but I feel like our Alaska normal is a 3 minute fall followed by a 7 year long winter. I can get used to the long fall, I managed to get in so many beautiful fall sessions while it lasted.

This is one of those fall sessions. This family is new to Alaska, so I took them to one of my favorite spots, because you really can’t beat the backdrop of the water with the mountains. So beautiful!

If anyone comes to me and asks me for outfit coordinating recommendations, I will forever be recommending these colors from now on. Gorgeous muted blue green (what would you call that color? I just spent 2 minutes trying to name it and failed.) with gray was beautiful. Not overpowering, and the colors are complimentary toward each other. The next time we do a family session, I’m putting my own family in these colors.

“J” Fall family session!
